The Family Violence Death Review Committee (FVDRC) is an independent committee that reviews and advises the Health Quality & Safety Commission (www.hqsc.govt.nz) on how to reduce the number of family violence deaths.

The FVDRC is a statutory committee established under Section 59E of the New Zealand Health and Disability Amendment Act 2010. The Committee met for the first time in October 2008.

The overarching goal of the Family Violence Death Review Committee (FVDRC) is to contribute to the prevention of family violence and family violence deaths.
